BYROBOT is the drone and quadcopter manufacturing company that created the world’s first Drone Fighter mini combat quadcopter, and they have now announced their newest drone at CES 2016. The Petrone Drone is a sophisticated and smart drone that is equipped with advanced technology and features like BYROBOT’s patented Turtle Turn Technology, an auto-hovering system, and has been made as a battle game system.

By purchasing additional kits like the PETRONE DRIVE kit and the PETRONE FPV kit, you can easily remove and attach the extra parts to turn it into a drone that can not only participate in drone battle contests, take amazing pictures and videos, but also drive on the ground.

This second generation BYROBOT Petrone Drone is easy to control for beginners and has a number of important features that help in making the flight very simple. With the new Turtle Turn Technology the drone can flip itself over from one side to another when it is kept on a surface.

It has a Modular Structural Design that is small and portable, allowing for easy usage. It features Sensor Fusion Technology using optical flow sensor, 3 -axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope and barometer, for a more innovative flight control system and Auto Hovering functions.

Users can avail other features like Draw and Fly - where the drone follows a path drawn by you on auto flight, Voice Control – where you can say commands like “Take off”, “Landing” and “Follow tight” for the drone to follow, Follow Me – where the drone will follow you by sensing the movement of the phone or tablet you use, and Motion Control – where you just have to tilt you phone to tilt the drone.

You can customize the lights on the drone as per your choice using a smartphone. There is also a Software Development Kit available for Robotics and Coding.

Real-life Flying Battle Game System

The Petrone Drone has been created as a fighting drone, which is equipped with infrared transmitters and receivers for this purpose. If you have 2 or more of this drone, users can make battle teams and have a drone fight!

It is controlled using a smartphone and dedicated application, and users can shoot and even upgrade their battle skills, like “Demon Missile”and “Machine Gun.”

When a Petrone drone is “hit” during combat from an infrared shot, the LED lights start flashing, the controller vibrates, makes a noise and also reduces the life energy – just like in a real video game! When the energy is completely over, the drone safely lands back on the ground.
