Cheerson CX-10W Review

Cheerson is well known for their popular drone models like the Cheerson CX-10C and Cheerson CX-20, and now they have come out with their newest drone the Cheerson CX-10W.

It is the smallest FPV drone available in the market and with a size of 62x62x20 mm, it weighs just 15g! This small size makes it a very compact and portable aerial toy, that is also great for gifting to kids and flying indoors. It is available in 3 colors - golden, rosy red and grey.

Camera

The drone comes with an integrated 0.3MP camera that can shoot videos and take pictures. While the camera may not provide the best picture resolution, its 6-axis gyro with calibration function will definitely give it a smoother flight and provide more stable pictures and footage.

The cool thing about this drone is that the FPV feature allows users to see exactly what the tiny drone is capturing right on their smartphone, which is used to control it!

Controls

The Cheerson CX-10W can be controlled using the smartphone app via Wi-Fi capabilities, or using a remote controller if you have one. While it makes it much easier to have the option to use either controlling facilities, the drone can't work with the app and the transmitter at the same time.

The drone needs a 2.4G 4CH transmitter to work with. The smartphone and controller will both have a range of up to 15m.

Flight features

Fliers can execute simple drone movements like ascend, descend, forward, backward, turn left, turn right, hover, left sideward fly and right sideward fly. It can even execute a 3D flip that is an awesome stunt to master!

The drone also has LED lights on the body that promote easier night flying. The bright lights make its tiny size more visible in the dark sky and makes it easier to identify the drone as well.

Fliers can also switch between high and low speed modes depending on how they want to enjoy the drone. It has a transmission function featured by 8 frequency points that allow uninterrupted flying of multiple drones around.

Battery

The drone uses a 3.7V 150mAh battery that comes with a protective function. It has a flight time of about 4 minutes and a charging time of around 60 minutes, and can be charged using the USB port at the back.

The battery is built into the body of the drone and cannot be changed. This is one downside as you have a wait for 60 minutes for it completely charge just to be able to fly it for a measly 4 minutes.

 

Conclusion

The Cheerson CX-10W is a great quadcopter and for its small size and low price it has a lot to offer. Have a look at the pros and cons:
