DJI has released a new version in its Phantom 3 range called the Phantom 3 Standard, which is an entry-level camera drone that will add to their existing Phantom 3 Advanced and Professional drones.
This drone has been designed keeping in mind the needs of beginner fliers and also as a cheaper option in their range of drones. The Phantom 3 Standard is available for $799, as opposed to Phantom 3 Advanced that costs $999 and Phantom 3 Professional that costs $1,250.
The Phantom 3 Standard features a new camera that can take 12 MP photos in JPG and RAW, along with 2.7K HD videos at 30 fps. The camera also has a 94-degree distortion-free lens in the front.
Using the DJI Go application, fliers can easily manage the drone using Wi-Fi. You can also use the transmitter, which is an updated Phantom 2 Vision+ controller, paired with the drone with a Wi-Fi range extender and wheel for modifying the camera’s angle.
The drone is also equipped with GPS-based stabilization, a 3-axis stabilization gimbal and intelligent flight features, along with a flight time of 25 minutes.
