Dimensions and Weight

The GoPro Hero 3+ is is a lot like the GoPro 3 and only has some slight changes. It measures 41mm x 59mm x 21/30 mm and weighs 74 grams without the housing and 136 grams with it.

The GoPro Hero 4 is the same size as Hero 3+ but is slightly heavier at 88 grams and 152 grams with housing.

HD Recording Capability

The Hero 4 is the best in the GoPro series when it comes to high definition video recording. At 1080p it can record up to 120 fps, whereas the Hero 3+ records videos at 1080p at 60/50 fps.

Audio

While all the GoPro cameras are created with a built in mono microphone, the Hero 4 can deliver nearly double the range of the other GoPro camera models.

Built in LCD Touch Screen

The Hero 4 Silver is the only GoPro camera that has a built-in touch screen viewfinder. The Hero 3+ requires the LCD Touch Bac Pac attached to the camera for users to have the same convenience.

Price

The Hero 3+ is priced at $300 to $350, whereas the Hero 4 costst $400 to $500.
