Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker Action Camera

The Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker Action Camera is another entrant in the 4k action camera race and features a very rugged design that can take on any conditions, as well as 7 sensors, apart from its 4k capabilities.

It features a vertical design, instead of the usual horizontal or square ones, which makes it easy to grip in one hand and record. The handycam-like design also features a 1.5-inch 115k-dot LCD monitor with an aspect ratio of 4:3, which flips open to the side and can be tilted to get the perfect angles.

The action camera can record 4K Ultra HD videos at 30fps rates, as well as 1080p Full HD at 60fps and 720p HD at 240fps.  It is equipped with an 8MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that makes use of Olympus' Truepic VII image processor. The lens features a 7-group, 7-element construction that has an aperture of f/2.0 and a wide-angle of 204-degrees. It also features a 5-axis digital image stabilizer.

The Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker Action Camera has 7 sensors built-in, with some that are customary as well as some extra ones. The usual ones include a GPS, compass and accelerometer, while it also features a barometer, manometer that senses depth, and a water sensor and underwater thermometer to accentuate its overall ruggedness.

A main feature of the camera is its ruggedness that can be achieved without the need for housing, unlike its GoPro competitors. It is waterproof till 30 m, crushproof till 100 kg of force, freezeproof till -10°C and shockproof till 2.1 m.

It uses a microSD card to store all media, and doesn’t have any storage memory of its own. It has Wi-Fi capabilities for easy wireless file transfers and can also shoot time-lapse videos.
