Quadcopters and drones have gained a lot of popularity in the consumer electronics market, and with each passing year bigger and better drones are released. One such new drone is the GDU Byrd, which features folding propeller arms, interchangeable camera gimbals, and up to 29 minutes of flight time! It is also available in 3 different versions - the Standard, the Advanced, and the Premium.

One of the main features of this GDU Byrd is its ability to be folded into a smaller size for easier storage and portability. The components once folded make the drone turn into a rectangular object, almost as big as an iPad making it easy to fit and carry in backpacks.

The Byrd can also carry around 2 kgs of weight without hindering its flying features. The Standard version of the Byrd comes with a 1080p/60fps camera with the option of switching to a GoPro Gimbal (not included), while the Advanced model comes with the GoPro Gimbal (GoPro camera not included). The Premium version on the other hand, comes with its own 4K camera that records at 30fps, and has the options for add ons like the GoPro Gimbal and Infrared Camera, plus any future add ons released.

The GDU Byrd also has features like Return to Home, which makes it go back to its original takeoff point. The Advanced and Premium models also come with a Follow Me feature that makes the drone follow the user till they are in the smartphone’s signal range. The video that the drone is recording can be viewed on up to 3 different screens at the same time, as well.

The Standard is priced at $950, the Advanced model costs $1,060, and the Premium is available for $1,400.
