SwellPro Splash Drone 3 Auto - The Modular All Weather Waterproof Drone

The SwellPro Splash Drone 3 Auto comes with upgraded features and is the most advanced Splash drone released by the company. It is the first fully integrated modular amphibious flying device perfect for flying or floating on water. There is another variant of this drone called the Splash Drone 3 Fisherman.

Waterproof design

First and foremost, an important feature of the drone is its waterproof frame. Its fuselage has been created with durable 3mm reinforced ABS that provides a tight water seal and doesn’t allow water to enter inside the drone’s body. The external parts are created using high-quality stainless steel, while the motors are coated to provide maximum resistance to fresh and salt water.

The drone is submersible for sustained periods of time but it isn’t recommended to be used as a submarine. Its buoyant properties keep it floating above water, and the corrosion-free design is also suitable for all weathers.

Camera and gimbal

The Splash Drone 3 Auto uses a newly designed 4K camera that is completely waterproof. It comes integrated with a 2-axis gimbal that delivers smooth and stable videos and images in the air or even underwater.

The camera uses a 1/2'' CMOS sensor and a 5G all glass lens that has a 106° FOV for distortion free images. It is capable of recording videos in 4K at 25fps as well as pictures in 14 megapixels. There is also a built-in audio recorder along with micro SD reader and live HD FPV video feed.

S3 Flight Controller, High Torque Motors and Self-Tightening Propellers

The drone uses the new S3 flight controller, which regularly checks for system errors and provides backup due to its updated software. The Dual mode GPS and improved shielding provide more accuracy as well.

It is also equipped with high torque 620kv motors that provide high efficiency even in salt water, as they are custom coated. The carbon fiber propellers use self-tightening mechanism for safe and quick attachment and also provide a stable and reliable flight.

Remote Controller

With a more powerful drone, you need to use a powerful remote controller as well to fly it with versatility and control. This fully integrated controller provides ease of use and effectiveness.

It features a sleek and ergonomic design, along with a built-in high quality 5" FPV screen to view what the drone is recording and adjust angles to get the perfect shots. The screen also displays OSD data.

Smart flight features

Use smarter flying features by connecting your smartphone with the ground station and downloading the SwellPro app. You will be able to control the drone by tapping the screen instead of the joystick control. Smart flight modes include Follow Me, Mission Planning and Tap to Fly.

Users can also fly safer with the Splash Drone 3 Auto’s advanced features. Many times due to loss of connection or low battery you can lose your drone, but this one comes with modes like Return-home, Auto-land, and Low Battery Alert to avoid such mishaps.

Battery

The drone is powered by a 14.8V 5200mAh 4S lipo battery that provides a flight time of up to 16 minutes. The controller uses a 7.4V 1800mAh 2S lipo battery.

Payload Release Mechanism

It features an additional payload release mechanism that provides versatility of use for the drone. Quickly interchange from the gimbal for a 1kg (max) payload capacity, great for use to carry a fishing line, bait drop, water rescue, and much more.
